Don’t worry, most don’t, I can help you. –
By Brian Kudick Financial Advisor, Wells Fargo Advisors, LLC –
We all have unique goals in life and want to feel confident that we’re en route to meeting them. In that effort, it helps to have a financial roadmap to keep us on track – especially given the twists and turns that inevitably lie ahead.
Wells Fargo Advisors’ Envision® process is a great way to start creating your own personal roadmap. Unlike other investment programs, an Envision plan can help you uncover your goals, determine which are the most (and least) important and track your progress in reaching them. It also gives you the flexibility to alter your plan to account for changes in your life.
From my perspective as a Financial Advisor, the Envision process is an excellent way to uncover your real goals, prioritize them and align them with the realities of the market. We can all set “pie in the sky” goals however can anyone really tell you if those goals are attainable? Through the Envision process we will run your goals and current portfolio through over 1,000 different economic scenarios in our Monty Carlo Simulator and tell you the feasibility of reaching your goals with your current plan.
No matter where you are in life, you have a vision of your future. The decisions you make and the priorities you define with the Envision process can help you realize your most important goals, even as they – and your life – change. At Wells Fargo Advisors, we start with your LIFE – and plan your MONEY around it.
Envision Process
The Envision process is an innovative profiling process that is intended to increase your confidence to help you better enjoy your life today and pursue realistic goals for tomorrow. The Envision process is designed to help you monitor progress toward your goals, adapt to changing conditions, and manage investment risk. This process begins with a simple discussion to identify realistic life goals, state them in measurable terms, set priorities among them, and tie them to your investment portfolio.
Using advanced statistical simulation methodology, the Envision process can assist in finding the delicate balance needed to help you to progress toward your goals.
With your help we can use the Envision process to help you answer critical questions all investors may face: Am I compromising my goals too much with my investment choices? Am I taking too much risk or not enough? Am I compromising my life today for tomorrow? Do I need to reevaluate my goals or the time projected for achieving them? Based on your responses to these types of questions, investments and risk tolerance, the Envision process helps us set a realistic strategy.
IMPORTANT: The projections or other information generated by Envision regarding the likelihood of various investment outcomes are hypothetical in nature, do not reflect actual investment results and are not guarantees of future results. Results may vary with each use and over time.
ENVISION METHODOLOGY: Based on accepted statistical methods, the Envision tool uses a simulation model to test your Ideal, Acceptable and Recommended Investment Plans. The simulation model uses assumptions about inflation, financial market returns and the relationships among these variables. These assumptions were derived from analysis of historical data. Using Monte Carlo simulation the Envision tool simulates 1,000 different potential outcomes over a lifetime of investing varying historical risk, return, and correlation amongst the assets.
Some of these scenarios will assume strong financial market returns, similar to the best periods of history for investors. Other will be similar to the worst periods in investing history. Most scenarios will fall somewhere in between.
