Physical Therapists are considered the experts of choice in restoring and maximizing mobility while managing the major systems of the body-musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, cardiovascular/pulmonary, and integumentary (skin). They are trusted health care professionals with extensive clinical experience who examine, diagnose, and then prevent or treat conditions that limit the body’s ability to move and function in daily life.
Including your Primary Care Physician, Physical Therapists should be at the forefront of the health care model serving as the practitioner of choice in helping to improve mobility, avoid surgery, and eliminate pain. Physical therapy can help patients avoid unnecessary and costly examinations, tests, and procedures. Physical Therapy is one of the most cost effective alternative to medication and surgery for musculoskeletal pain.
Current graduating PTs receive a Doctorate of Physical Therapy joining their experienced colleagues in the field. In fact, Florida law has granted patients direct access to Physical Therapy services. Additionally, most insurance carriers, including Medicare, allow the first physical therapy visit without a physician referral.

Request Physical Therapy! It’s Your Choice
You are the one that matters most and you are entitled to choose the most appropriate health care professional to meet your goals. Your physician may refer you for physical therapy in which the physician has a financial interest, such as a physician owned practice (POP). If this is your situation, be aware that you have the right to choose your own physical therapist and that you are not obligated to receive physical therapy in any specific facility. Our physical therapists will stay in close contact with your physician. Communication through phone calls and/or emails with your physician is the same weather you are treated in a POP or by an independently owned facility. Request Physical Therapy is owned and operated by skilled Physical Therapists with over 10 years of experience who know what it takes and how to best help you!
Always insist that your physical therapy be provided by a licensed physical therapist with the skills and expertise that you need to help meet your goals. Request Physical Therapy is owned and operated by experienced Physical Therapists.
Request Physical Therapy! How?
At Request Physical therapy, our goal is to get you moving and enjoying life again, using scientifically-based treatment techniques that focus on restoring function, reducing pain and preventing injury. You’re an individual, and we think you should be treated as such. Our therapists emphasize expertise in manual physical therapy as well as our certified vestibular,
Parkinson’s, and Lymphedema specialists. Once pain or limitation is eliminated, we offer ongoing care to ensure you remain pain free and maintain optimal movement, through various health and wellness programs. These include Personal Trainning, Massage Therapy, Yoga, Pilates, and Tia Chi classes. Finally, for convenience, Request Physical therapy has four locations, making it easier to make and keep important physical therapy appointments.

Choosing a therapy office that is just right for you is much more than just checking to make sure that the practice offers services for your particular type of injury or post-surgical need. You should also consider the culture of the practice itself, its accessibility and ability to work within your schedule, obligations, transportation needs, etc.
What is the culture of a physical therapy practice? The culture depends on the therapists, therapist assistants, clerical staff, and even billing assistants. You want to find a devoted set of professionals whose main goal is to work with you to retain optimal physical condition.
Physical Therapists are your partners throughout your journey to restoring and maintaining motion so that you can function at your personal best.
At Request Physical Therapy, we believe the following:
There is only one You. Each of our therapists dedicate the time and energy to treat your unique needs. You’re an individual, and we think you should be treated like as such. Using the information gathered in your initial evaluation, and working with your physician, our therapists plan a series of personalized, targeted exercises to help you regain your strength and capabilities. We will continually reassess your condition, and adjust your exercise program as you move toward full recovery.
Specialization is key. Our therapists emphasize manual physical therapy. Manual therapy is a method of treatment that relies on the therapist’s hands to stretch, mobilize or massage your muscles, connective tissue or joints. While electrical stimulation, ultrasound or other machine-based techniques may be used to augment your treatment, our therapists are specially trained to provide hands-on treatment as the foundation of your recovery plan.
Location and convenience is important. Quite often patients find themselves skipping physical therapy simply because life’s busy schedule doesn’t allow time for a trip across town to the PT office. For your convenience, Request Physical therapy has four locations, making it easier to make and keep important physical therapy appointments.
Maintaining health over time is the goal. The services provided by our team of Physical Therapists doesn’t end when your pain has been eliminated. We offer ongoing care, to ensure you remain pain free and maintain optimal movement, through various health and wellness programs. Our therapists will support you throughout your wellness journey, enabling you to stay healthy and active as you age.
The most important thing to remember, and to never, ever forget in any situation involving your personal health, is that you have the right to choose your own care, and the responsibility to make sure you get the best care possible. You should have a therapist who talks through the treatment process with you and treats you as the decision maker, and you should always feel comfortable asking your physical therapist any questions regarding your course of care, including specifics regarding interventions and expectations.
At Request Physical therapy, our goal is to get you moving and enjoying life again, using scientifically-based treatment techniques that focus on restoring function, reducing pain and preventing injury. We can work with your physician to help you achieve a healthy, active lifestyle and can help you manage your health over the long run.
