By Hoglund Family Hearing and Audiology Services
As we all experience this unprecedented occurrence of the COVID-19 Virus, we are reaching out to offer support to the Hearing Impaired throughout Southwest Florida. If you wish to have service on your hearing aids while maintaining proper “social distancing”, we will be glad to help! We hope you and your loved ones are staying safe during this horrible Pandemic. We wanted to update you about new options our Practice is incorporating for the protection of our Patients and Clinicians!
HEARING AID “CURBSIDE DROP-OFF” FOR ROUTINE SERVICE AND MAINTANENCE
We are offering a hearing aid drop-off option. If your Hearing Aid needs repair, just set up a time to drop it with our staff. Then bring your hearing aids to our Clinic parking lot and call us to say you’ve arrived and remain in your car. We will come out to you to get them, professionally inspect, repair, service and sanitize them, and call you when they are ready to be picked up. You again call us from the parking lot, and we will bring them to your car. This will eliminate any personal contact with other Patients or staff members. As you are monitoring news updates and receiving phone calls from family, we want you to be able to hear at your best!
TELEMEDICINE OPTION AVAILABLE FOR ROUTINE QUESTIONS AND TROUBLESHOOTING!
Modern technology now allows us to talk to you “face-to-face” while you stay in the comfort and safety of your home! Call to request an easy telemedicine appointment where we can help troubleshoot more routine concerns and review service questions without requiring an office visit! Call our staff and give us your cellphone number and email address, and we will send you instructions on using this remarkable new service option.
CURBSIDE CHECK-IN IF OFFICE VISIT IS NEEDED
We have dramatically increased our office sanitation protocols in the following ways:
1. NO CONGREGATION IN OUR WAITING ROOM. When you arrive for you appointment, we ask that you call our front desk to let us know you have arrived and remain in your car! We will call you back when your clinician is available. We will also require additional time to thoroughly sanitize our exam rooms and equipment after each Patient has left for your safety. We need to be especially KIND to one another during these troubled times, so “Patient-Patience” is greatly appreciated!
2. IF YOU HAVE ANY HEALTH SYMPTOMS OR EXPOSURE CONCERNS…STAY HOME! We ALL need to look out for one another as we go through these troubled times, and we MUST INSIST that anyone who has recently travelled to areas of concern, has exhibited even slight health symptoms, or has been exposed to anyone with known COVID-19 concerns… STAY HOME until you have self-quarantined in line with CDC standards! We must insist that everyone go through an 8-question screening process before allowing you to enter our clinic. We may STILL be able to help you with our telemedicine or curbside drop-off options, but we CAN’T LET YOU PUT OUR CLINICIANS OR PATIENTS AT RISK!
3. MAXIMUM SAFETY STEPS WILL BE FOLLOWED DURING YOUR VISIT!
All chairs and equipment will be sanitized between visits, including office chairs and anything touched by a Patient. If we need you to complete any paperwork… we ask you to take your pen with you when you leave. We will scrub our hands to CDC Guidelines and use hand sanitizer before we see you, and ask you to use a squirt yourself to eliminate germs on everyone’s hands.
SEASONAL RESIDENTS AND PATIENTS FROM OTHER PRACTICES WELCOME!
If your usual Clinic is temporarily closed or if you are a “Snowbird” resident without a Florida Clinic to call home, we will gladly try to help you! All we have ever asked is that if you are impressed with our Clinical staff, please tell your friends about our Practice! We are proud of our team and particularly grateful for their recent efforts. Their energy and commitment to serving the hearing impaired is phenomenal.
WE ARE COMMITTED TO HELPING THE HEARING IMPAIRED…SAFELY!
We remain open to serve you. Our dedicated team is working hard to ensure a safe experience for you by increasing the frequency of cleaning and sanitizing every surface throughout the office after each Patient to protect the health and well-being of our team and our customers. Our staff is diligently washing their hands and using hand sanitizer as the CDC recommends… PLEASE DO THE SAME FOR THEM!
THIS TOO SHALL PASS… and we can all get through these troubled times working together by using extra care and trying to remain patient and respectful to one another! Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone during these trying times!
