Do you struggle to make it though your day? Do you have to push yourself just to do the basics? Have you stopped doing the things you enjoy because you just don’t have the energy? Are you drinking coffee, sodas or energy drinks just to stay awake?
Lets face it – life is all about energy. Almost everything in life comes down to energy. Everyday we need energy for relationships, our careers, and certainly for enjoyment. Without energy even our brain stops functioning properly and brain fog, confusion, or apathy becomes dominant.
Our immune system is energy driven. It takes a lot of energy to fight infection and maintain our health. Our cells need energy to transport the nutrients we need to make more energy.
So How Do You Create More Energy?
In order for your body to generate more energy it needs the right stuff. You need glucose as the starting point or energy source. Next, the glucose has to go though a process known as the kreb cycle to create ATP, the body’s energy currency. Pretty simple, huh?
What Can Go Wrong?
Let’s start with the energy source, glucose. Glucose comes from the food we eat. To get to it we must first be able to properly digest our food. To do this we need enough stomach acid to break down proteins and enough bile and pancreatic enzymes to break down everything else. Most people over the age of 40 have digestive issues
In the kreb cycle where glucose is converted into energy, a number of nutrients are needed to ‘move’ the process along. The 4 main nutrients are Coenzyme Q 10, magnesium, L-Carnitine and D-Ribose. Most people are deficient in these nutrients. Another HUGE component is oxygen. In the presence of oxygen the kreb cycle can make 38 ATP versus only 4 in the absence of oxygen.
Another important step in creating energy is getting rid of the waste products so that the process can continue.
What Can I Do To Create More Energy?
The #1 reason people come to my office is fatigue. Some of the common things I find using proper testing is – Hypothyroidism, Blood Sugar Problems, Anemia, Inflammation, Poor Digestion, Poor Liver Function, Poor Gut Function, and Adrenal Fatigue.
All of these are reversible if you are willing to make a few dietary changes and add the proper nutritional support.
The #1 Cause Of Fatigue In The United States Is Hashimoto’s
Hashimoto’s, an autoimmune thyroid, is the number one cause of hypothyroidism in the United States. Hypothyroidism is the number one cause of fatigue in the United States. Therefore, Hashimoto’s is the #1 cause of fatigue in the United States.
Most people with an autoimmune thyroid don’t even know that they have it because they haven’t been tested for it. The reason why it is ignored is because there is no drug for Hashimoto’s – but there is a natural solution.
