Take a second and smile…With the holiday season approaching, and a New Year ahead we find ourselves reflecting on the year past and planning the upcoming year. During this busy time we need to remember the importance of taking time to give back.

How fortunate are we to have an abundance of volunteers, charity events, and philanthropists in Naples whose contributions to our community are far reaching and stretch the boundaries of generosity.

But not everyone has the time or the resources that others may have. We may even be the benefactors of such generous people. But no matter what our daily life involves, we all share a common bond; we all interact with many people during the course of our day. As you read this we are in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the holidays and all the hectic preparations. Family, friends, stress, parties, shopping, stress, traffic, lines, people and more stress. But consider this; what if you were to extend a random act of kindness to everyone you meet?

It doesn’t take but a moment to say thank you, or to hold a door for someone and imagine adding a warm smile. Think of all the people you associate with thru the year; the staff at the doctors office, the people at “your” PUBLIX . What a great time to show them you appreciate them, and smile. A thank you and a smile go a long way; don’t be surprised when people smile back, consideration is contagious!

Take a second and smile…
It makes you feel good doesn’t it? Maybe a little relaxed? Imagine how this could lead to a positive mental attitude when dealing with all the joys the holidays bring.

Our smiles say a lot about us.
Do you smile with confidence? Is your smile all you want it to be? All it can be? Is it white enough? Are your teeth straight enough?

There is a connection between smiles and self-esteem. Your smile is a big part of the first impression you give, and the impression you have of yourself.

In addition to the esthetic benefits, whiter teeth and straighter teeth have health benefits too. Professional teeth whitening gel has been proven to kill the bacteria that cause gum disease as well as those that cause tooth decay. Straighter teeth are healthier teeth. Straight properly aligned teeth are easier to keep clean and place less unnatural stress and pressure on teeth and jaws.

So, what are you waiting for?
Greet the season with a big smile, and courtesy, and if you are lacking a confident smile our gift to you is a complimentary consultation for Boost in office teeth whitening, or Invisalign, the clear alternative to braces.

Happy and healthy holidays, and all the best for the New Year.
