Ovarian & Prostate Health: Your Spine Matters!

back pain treatment naplesFor many sufferers of ovarian or prostate issues, a never-ending research project has ensued revolving around diet, nutrition and pharmaceuticals. Well now you can add chiropractic care into the equation.

Why Chiropractic?
In order to understand the direct correlation between chiropractic and reproductive health, you must understand a very fundamental fact.  Our brain communicates to our organs through our nervous system. This can be best explained by comparing it to a telephone system. Our nerves play the role of internal telephone lines consistently sending messages to and from our brains and our organs. Our spinal cord plays the role of the switch board encased by our spinal column. In order for our bodies to function properly and consistently heal and regenerate new cells, these messages must reach all of our tissues and cells properly. The brain uses the nerve system as its vehicle to communicate to all the parts of our body, and the body then continues that conversation by sending messages back to the brain. This delicate internal nerve network in the body is protected by vertebrae.

This process is often interrupted by Subluxation. Subluxation is a misalignment in your spinal vertebrae which causes pressure on a nerve and effectively interrupts this communication process. This results in a nerve in your spine being compressed or pinched by a vertebra that is out of place.

The brain sends a signal down the spinal cord; the spinal nerves send the signal out to the rest of the body. This process is interrupted by the subluxation, so the signal from the brain is not ideal or in some cases, cut off completely.

The Spine/Reproductive Health Relationship
How can the brain communicate to your prostate, bladder or ovaries if there is an interference resulting from spinal misalignment? The nerves connecting at the L3 and L4 level directly relate to these organs. A chronic subluxation at these lumbar vertebrae can interfere with this function and set the stage for poor prostate/ovarian health resulting in problems such as:
• Enlarged Prostate
• Prostate Cancer
• Polycystic Ovarian Cysts
• Ovarian Cancer
• PMS
• Dysmenorrhea
• Irregular Periods
• Infertility

It is no coincidence that many who suffer from menstrual cramps or prostatitis also suffer from neck or back pain. There are, however, many people who suffer from these problems and other health conditions who will not go to the chiropractor because of the common misconception: “If I don’t have a backache, why go to the chiropractor?” Due to the misperception that chiropractors are “backache doctors” many never receive the true benefits of chiropractic care.

No matter what kind of exercise you do, diet you eat or restful activity you take part in, if the messages from your brain do not properly reach each and every cell of your body, then you will never be all you can be in your lifetime. Any interference in your spine directly interferes with the life energy and information channels in the body.

Help Is Available
Dr. Deanna Barbaro is a local chiropractor who specializes in treating Subluxation by manipulating and readjusting the spine, relieving the pressure on nerves running through the spinal column. She accomplishes this gently and with ease. Once the subluxations are corrected, it is believed that the reproductive system is dramatically improved. Not just a quick fix, Dr. Barbaro’s focus is correction of misalignment for optimum brain/nerve function so that you can experience more living in your life and more energy in your living!
