Unwanted hair – how can we really get RID of it? The latest technology for laser hair removal incorporates cutting-edge advancements that provide fast, efficient hair elimination with minimal discomfort.
Hair follicles go through growth cycles and after a period of time, will become dormant. One treatment will not remove all hair follicles, so only the active follicles that are in their growth cycle are eliminated. Therefore, multiple treatments may be needed to eliminate most hair completely.
If you have been looking for a comfortable, safe, and effective way to permanently reduce unwanted hair, you’re in luck! Laser Hair Removal is your answer, and of course, it’s available for both men and women. Many times, men want to remove back or chest hair or some of their facial hair. For women, many typically prefer to treat the face and body. However, each procedure can be customized to your needs.
Laser hair removal can be used on almost all skin tones, hair color, and textures, and the operator can customize treatment depending on hair type. It provides deeper penetration which allows for more uniform hair removal and larger coverage areas.
OTHER HAIR REMOVAL OPTIONS:
WHAT’S REALLY BEST?
Shaving – First you can shave off the hair. Yes, that is one option but not a very good one. A few days after you shave you end up with the hair stubble emerging again and seeing the unsightly hair returning. You could shave every day to eliminate the problem but think of the continuous cost of razor blades, shave creams and time consumed of having to shave every day. Plus, the additions discomfort of the occasional cuts that can occur. Men have an impossible task to shave their back and shoulders.
Waxing – This is an option to remove the hair, but this becomes a never-ending cost and time consuming. Waxing can be quite painful and can lead to occasional infections and skin irritations. The cost of waxing is greater than shaving and is a continuous never-ending expense and a time-consuming endeavor.
Electrolysis – Some people may not know what electrolysis is or how it works. This procedure is performed by an Electrologist. An Electrologist needs to receive certified training and needs to be State Certified and licensed. The process of hair removal is done one hair follicle at a time. An electrically heated needle is inserted into each hair follicle and burned. The hair follicle is then pulled out of the skin. This is a very painful process and very time consuming. This procedure is considered permanent hair reduction. This is old technology and is being replaced with laser hair removal. There are certain conditions that this is the only option and laser will not work.
Any hair that is gray or true red can be removed with electrolysis but cannot be removed with laser. Eye browse are also an area that electrolysis is used. It is not recommended to use laser near the eye area, so tweezing, waxing or electrolysis are options for eyebrow hair removal.
LASER – This is the newest technology and has gained wide acceptance as the best way to achieve permanent hair reduction. Laser hair removal equipment also has made improvements in the delivery of laser energy to the hair follicle. The new machines can eliminate the hair quickly and with less pain than waxing or electrolysis. Older laser machines are more painful and less effective than
quality new machines.
The medical professional operating the machine must evaluate the color of the hair, the thickness of the hair and the color of the patient’s skin to properly set the power settings of the laser machine. Incorrect settings can cause skin damage and or excessive pain, and or poor results. The operator’s knowledge and experience are extremely important when selecting a facility to have laser hair removal.
