Pain is the single most common condition that makes individuals seek medical care. Millions of people here in the U.S. suffer with pain conditions and staggering numbers of those are partially or totally disabled due to the debilitating effects that pain has on our physical bodies as well as our mental wellbeing. The pain signaling to the brain can be ongoing or in other cases, disrupted and perceived in adverse manners.
You have numerous options to try and mitigate your pain; however, compounded pain cream is one treatment that often provides significant results in pain reduction.
Compounded Pain Cream
COMPOUNDED PAIN CREAM is specifically designed to target and treat the site of pain with customizable formulations, while avoiding many of the complications common to other pain treatment methods. Pain Cream provides a flexible, convenient, and effective solution for a variety of pain-related conditions without the risk of dependence.
Targeted Relief
PAIN CREAMS ARE DESIGNED to administer high concentrations of pain medication directly onto the site of pain for targeted relief. Furthermore, our pharmacists can work with your doctor to create a custom formulation, designed to meet your unique needs. As a result, you get the combined benefits of precise dosing, personalized treatment, and the combined effect of multiple ingredients working together for optimal pain relief.
Fewer Risks & Side Effects
BECAUSE OUR PAIN FORMULATIONS are applied topically, they do not circulate throughout the entire body. This means you have powerful pain medication where you need it and less where you don’t. As a result, Pain Creams are less likely to interact with other medications being taken and cause fewer side effects than other pain medications. Finally, since Pain Cream is not absorbed throughout the entire body, the risk of dependence and addiction is virtually eliminated.
Transdermal Base
ALL OF OUR PAIN CREAMS are formulated using Lipoderm (TM) base from PCCA designed and proven to effectively deliver pain medication. Furthermore, this type of transdermal base has been tested and proven to deliver up to four drugs simultaneously and to deliver medications more effectively and more quickly than other topical bases.
Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN)
LDN is another compounded medication that helps to block pain sensations by increasing endorphins. Naltrexone is an opioid antagonist, meaning that it blocks opioid receptors. Taken at high doses of 50mg to 100mg, it’s been used for decades to help patients addicted to opiates and/or heroine fight their addiction by blocking the “high” feeling within the brain. Additionally, Naltrexone increases endorphins, which are known to enhance pain reduction and boosts immunity. By blocking opioid receptors, the brain receives a signal that endorphins are low and begins to increase endorphin production. Years ago, it was discovered that low doses of Naltrexone were so effective at increasing endorphins that researchers began to study it’s multiple effects on things such as fighting infections, cancer, and autoimmune disorders.
Low Dose Naltrexone is also thought to tamp down inflammation systemically. If left untreated, the inflammatory response can cause numerous adverse effects throughout the body, including chronic disease. LDN contributes to less inflammation and reduces pain.
The Benefits of Compounded LDN
LDN is proving to be beneficial for chronic pain and multiple disorders. Compounded LDN can be precisely created and dosed specifically for you. Why is this important? Compounding combines an ageless art with the latest medical knowledge and state-of-the-art technology, allowing specially trained professionals to prepare customized medications to meet each patient’s specific needs. Compounding is fundamental to the profession of pharmacy and was a standard means of providing prescription medications before drugs began to be produced in mass quantities by pharmaceutical manufacturers. The demand for professional compounding has increased as healthcare professionals, patients realize that the limited number of strengths and dosage forms that are commercially available are unable to meet the unique needs of many patients. These patients may have a better response to a customized dosage form that is “just what the doctor ordered.”
