Q: Tell us about some of your programs and events.
A: Many of the residents of Campo Felice enjoy the opportunity to be involved with the calendar and actually volunteer their skills to the Lifestyles Department. We have residents that teach and manage a Zumba Gold program, Relaxation and Meditation as well as our newest resident volunteer program Stamping and Embossing.
With my 13 years of Certified Activity Director’s experience as well as incorporating United Group of Companies SUN PROGRAM, our calendar of events strive to meet the needs of each individual resident at Campo Felice. We offer Life Learning programs, extensive Health and Wellness opportunities, as well as Community and Friendship. We support local stewardship with our Harry Chapin Food Bank donation center in our community, invite outside educators for lecture series, local and long distance outings and trips and have a revolving schedule of some of Southwest Florida’s best entertainment to perform for the residents. We are extremely social at Campo Felice and strive to create a warm, welcoming Lifestyles Department not only for the residents, but also the staff with recognition events throughout the year.
Q: Why do residents love living at Campo Felice?
A: I believe and work through the knowledge that we work in the resident’s home, they do not live in our workplace; and by doing so, we are mindful that the residents know that everything we do is for them as an enhancement to each day as we engage them and always strive for their personal well-being and happiness. We reach out to each individual resident on their specific level, and I believe they know we appreciate them. We all love feeling appreciated!
